In the domain of technology-enhanced health professions education in a pan-African context, the objectives of the Consortium are to:

1. Share innovative and effective modalities for online learning;

2. Share effective responses to emergencies in the teaching-learning environment;

3. Conduct research addressing local and regional needs;

4. Promote ‘border-less’ cooperation between institutions and between countries;

5. Promote effectiveness and efficiency in situations with limited technological and human resources;

6. Develop and maintain the capacity of health professions educators;

7. Share effective mechanisms of quality control;

8. Involve healthcare students as co-constructors of learning;

9. Advocate for the integration of technology-enhanced education into mainstream programmes;

10. Carry out such other activities which are necessary and or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives
